Question: What's the best online trading platform?
I was wondering what is the most comprehensive online trading platform? Meaning a system where you can trade stocks, options, commodity, currency, foreign stock markets, indexes, bonds. Thanks.

The "best" online platform will not hold a candle to a dedicated trading platform downloaded to your computer. Online tends to lag, and during fast markets can freeze up. You're competing with thousands of other customers for bandwidth. The ONLY reason for using a web browser as your trading platform is if you're on the move.
For installed and dedicated software, some of the most popular programs are the ThinkOrSwim (TOS) and Scottrade platforms. eTrade is slow. A couple of Cadillac trading platforms: I've used RealTick at TerraNovaOnline, but it costs $325/mo. Townsend Electronics, the Parent company of TerraNova, are the people that digitized and electronified the Nasdaq. They are technological industry leaders and have a powerful and well built trading system. TradeStation is probably the most expensive.
I've used NinjaTrader through AMP Futures for several years without problems and recommend it.
