Question: Should I trade stocks on ETRADE?

I'm only 20 and I'm interested in opening an account. Does anyone have any advice for me? Thanks

You should re ask your question, should I learn more to trade stock? You make profit from your knowledge not from execution only brokers. You can have an account with the worst broker but do your homework about company you want to buy stocks. Your portfolio will tell your attitude. Not broker!!

Well, it is sort of up to you. I don't use ETRADE myself, but many people do. Be certain that you understand all of the costs that you might incur. One note of caution. Back in 2008-9 ETRADE just about went belly up. Their financial condition has improved since 2011.

Personal opinion:
Do not open an account unless you have $1,500 to $3,000 for that account.
This way you can diversify, and you won't get hammered with commission costs.
