Question: Question About Stocks?
I am building my portfolio online using Tradeking.com. Amongst my portfolio of stalwarts I am sprinkling in some penny Stocks - just to see if I get lucky. I have been watching one stock in particular because I have read About some research they are doing that could pay off in the next year or so. The stock is at .0195 (just under 2 pennies a share) and has been sitting there for about 2 weeks now. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? My other stocks (T, UTX, etc.) which would be considered "regular" stocks have been moving up and down every day.
I figure if I lose $50.00 it's no big deal, that is one night out with the wife - but I am curious if a stock isn't moving does that mean something (besides no one is trading it)...
Answer:
Can you put a volume subgraph on your chart? Does Yahoo Finance have a profile on it? Low volume for a stock per day is under 200,000. I would guess nobody is trading it, there should be some volume and movement. There are other cheap stocks that trade heavily, sirius radio for example, although not a penny stock. Isnt that the nature of penny stocks? To sit there until discovered? I have never traded a penny stock.
