Question: Is there a way to buy stock in a zoo?

Is it possible for a individual to purchase one share of stock in the market from a zoo? Similar to what the Green Bay Packer fans were able to do and buy stock from the team and are then able to claim that they were part owners.

Answer:

What's a Shih-tzu?
One with no lions and tigers!

Depends on how the zoo is owned, but generally yes. Just find out who owns it.

Just a thought, zoo makes profits from entrance fees and selling food for animals to viewers. Do people need to go to zoo daily? How much would they spend per head? $30 Compared to energy companies, do we need to buy gas daily? How much do they spend per head? $50-100 My question is who would make the most profit?

depends on zoo............................

No but it is a good fund raising idea. Zoos are almost always government owned and government does not sell equity - yet.

Regarding the Packers stock it is important to realize that: (a) the stock cannot be resold, it is prohibited, and (b) there is no dividend. That makes it useful for putting in a frame and hanging on a wall and that's about it.
