How can they offer free on line trading? They have to earn to maintain infrastructure and staff to manage the office.
I'd love to know why you think trading stock should be free. How could a broker make money to pay their costs (not to mention making a profit)..............

Why should a brokerage firm let you trade for free when they have to pay a transaction fee to the exchange, clearing fees to the clearing corporation, and incur cost of maintaining you position on their books and records let alone pay for the maintenance of the Computer site that lets you trade on-line and carry insurance to protect your account
