Question: Day trading question!?

I have a Scottrade account and I wanted to change my account type to Margin in order to day trade. I wanted to know if there is still a limit on how many times I can buy and sell stocks within the same day or is it virtually unlimited. Thank you

You'd still have to follow the PDT(Pattern day trader) rules with a margin account. If you have less than $25k in your margin account, you cannot make more than 3 day trades in any rolling 5 business day period. If you make a 4th day trade with less that 25k, they'd have to remove margin and you'd be limited to the settlement rules.
