Sure.. buy 40 year old books on stock prices. In the '70's we didn't have the internet, computerized trading, arbitrage machines, rapid dispersion of news around the globe, etc, etc.
Anyway, the effect of news on stocks is very murky and has to do with how news meets expectations. It's not a particularly fruitful thing to study.
