Question: AMR filing for bankruptcy! Help?
So does this mean I should sell my shares or else I lose all the money I put into the stock? :(
AMR shares will be delisted from NYSE before Jan. 5
Shares of AMR Corp. will be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange before the market opens Jan. 5. AMR shares were trading at 52 cents when the market closed on Thursday, one month after the company filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 29. The NYSE delists shares after the average closing price is less than $1 over a 30-day period.
Answer:
You should've already sold when the price dropped after the bad news.
They will continue trading in the OTC market, but you should probably sell them now.
You're a little behind here - AMR filed for bankruptcy in November. The shares are worthless. If you can get some money for them, you should grab it and take it. The shares will certainly be cancelled as part of the bankruptcy proceedings.
You are the target of the AMR management. The employees wouldn't capitulate so lets hammer the stockholders. Ha Ha Ha. Never ever trust AMR management.
if there worth anything then yes get out as soon as you can. otherwise you can just hang on and hope for a comback which i highly doubt will ever happen
